Michelin-starred restaurants in Monaco
1. Restaurant Le Pavyllon (1 star)
Let’s start our culinary escapade in the Principality with our favorite Michelin-starred restaurant in Monaco: Le Pavyllon. This is the restaurant of three-starred chef Yannick Alléno, thanks to whom the Pavyllon Ledoyen was awarded 3 stars in Paris in 2014. It offers an exceptional setting, with a large terrace located in the Hôtel Hermitage overlooking Port-Hercule. A counter offers a glimpse of the brigade as they prepare their dishes, in a chic, contemporary setting.
We really enjoyed our meal, especially our main course and the savory appetizers. We were able to discover all the modern techniques used by the chef (cold extraction, emulsion, fermentation…). Our starter, beet and carrot ravioli in a celery and cucumber extraction sauce, was surprising and delicious. The flavors of our turbot with spinach were subtly enhanced by nori seaweed. We can’t recommend this resolutely creative cuisine enough!

2. Restaurant Le Louis XV (3 stars)
We couldn’t talk about Michelin-starred restaurants without mentioning this legendary Alain Ducasse restaurant, housed in the equally famous 5-star Hôtel de Paris. Thanks to Alain Ducasse, Le Louis XV was awarded its third Michelin star in 1989. Since then, his disciples have taken over the reins. Chef Emmanuel Pilon, who trained at the Plaza Athéné in Paris, and pastry chef Sandro Micheli are currently bringing the Louis XV menu to life. Through a revisiting of Mediterranean cuisine, they respect Alain Ducasse’s “naturality” approach, which advocates healthier eating.
To make the most of your experience, you can stay at the Hôtel de Paris. See photos, prices and availability.

3. Restaurant Le Blue Bay (2 stars)
We now take you to Blue Bay, a 2-star restaurant nestled in the superb 4-star Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. Young chef Marcel Ravin offers an innovative fusion of Mediterranean and Caribbean flavors. He draws his inspiration from his Martinique origins, using exotic products and specialties (manioc, coconut water, boucané…) to express his creativity.
His cuisine is enhanced by plates made by a potter from his native island, and by the restaurant’s setting. Inside, the open kitchen lets you see the work of the chef and his team, while outside a large panoramic terrace lets you admire the Mediterranean. Don’t hesitate to try this experience that will awaken all your senses!

4. Restaurant La Table d’Antonio Salvatore at Rampoldi (1 star)
Creative cuisine blending Italian and southern French influences awaits you at Rampoldi, opened in 1946. At the helm is Michelin-starred chef Antonio Salvatore, a native of southern Italy. The décor is chic, inspired by the Belle Époque style (leather armchairs, crystal chandeliers, arcade mirrors…). Many celebrities and members of the princely family come here for their meals! This is complemented by an open-plan glazed kitchen where you can watch the brigade at work, and a removable heated terrace.
The menu features surprising combinations of land and sea, as exemplified by the Fassona veal tartare appetizer, accompanied by anchovy and white truffle creams. For the main course, why not try a surprising sweet and sour combination with a declination of Bresse poultry with caramel and rhubarb sauce, combined with a faux wheat risotto with lemon and ginger caviar? As you can see, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to tantalizing your taste buds at Rampoldi!

Best bistronomic restaurants in Monaco
5. Restaurant Chez Pierre
It’s one of our favourites in Monaco! We had a wonderful time in this restaurant, which has all the makings of a gourmet restaurant. The décor, in red (banquettes, ceiling, chairs) and black and white (checkerboard floor, cushions…), immerses visitors in the atmosphere of an old-fashioned Parisian bistro. You can also see photos of the capital’s most emblematic landmarks.
The service was impeccable, as was the cuisine. We enjoyed a fillet of bass with assorted vegetables, particularly tasty and well seasoned. We were then won over by our dessert, which consisted of dark chocolate quenelles accompanied by praline bites.

6. Beef Bar Restaurant
As its name suggests, this restaurant caters almost exclusively to meat lovers! Although there are a few vegetarian alternatives on offer, the restaurant specializes in meat, which is even on display in the window! The atmosphere is chic and subdued.
We were able to taste particularly tasty, fine and tender slices of Kobe beef. They were accompanied by a soft, salty panettone and mashed potatoes, which we took as an extra. We recommend enjoying their particularly creative cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We enjoyed a “Geekspeack a sling” featuring citrus syrups and juices, and Crodino (an Italian drink).
Practical information:

7. Restaurant Le Petit bar
In the tourist district of Le Rocher, it can be difficult to find good addresses. Here’s one! This little restaurant may not look like much, but the food is very tasty.
We tasted a very good guinea fowl leg accompanied by a green bean salad, well seasoned with a cream of herbs and old-fashioned mustard. For dessert, we indulged in a dark chocolate moelleux, topped with ice cream and a salted butter caramel sauce. If you’re looking for a simple but hearty and tasty meal in a relaxed atmosphere, choose Le Petit Bar!

Best seafood restaurants in Monaco
8. Restaurant Les Perles de Monte-Carlo
We couldn’t fail to mention Les Perles de Monte-Carlo! This restaurant is the reference address for seafood tasting in the Principality. Located at the end of the Fontvieille harbor jetty, it offers a sea-to-plate concept. Indeed, they set up their own aquaculture farm in 2011, at a time when the oyster farming tradition was virtually non-existent in Monaco. Their gamble worked! Their menu features platters of 12 oysters, organic shrimp, caviar, gravelax and tartare. You can even taste home-made fish terrines! Fish lovers will be delighted with our planchas (turbot, bass, salmon…), which are also used to cook shellfish (lobster, prawns, crow…).

In this chic setting, the specialty is langoustine, which can be eaten raw, poached, grilled or tempura. For dessert, enjoy Italian dishes such as tiramisu, cassata piémontaise or the delicious amarena macaroon.

10. Restaurant L’Hirondelle
We’re staying in Monte-Carlo to introduce you to the Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo restaurant, nestled in the 5-star Hôtel Hermitage. Chef Jean-Laurent Basile, a native of Marseille, offers a healthy Mediterranean cuisine, with an emphasis on fish, which is available as both a main course and a starter. Salmon is particularly honored. At L’Hirondelle, it’s grilled as a main course, smoked with vegetable pickles, or marinated in a poke bowl. For your tasting experience, we recommend the terrace, which offers one of Monaco’s finest panoramas, with a breathtaking view of the port and the Rock.

Best Italian restaurants in Monaco
11. Giaccomo Restaurant
Due to its proximity to Italy, Monaco is resolutely multicultural, with a large number of specialized restaurants. We fell in love with the highly original and colorful decor of Giacomo, an Italian trattoria belonging to the BigMamma group. Located on the Larvotto beach, it features a terrace with nearly 80 seats, which immediately creates an atmosphere of dolce vitta! The menu changes every month, as Giacomo works exclusively with Italian and French producers. The truffle pasta and Sgroppino, a sorbet drizzled with Prosecco, made our mouths water!
Practical information:
- Neighborhood: Larvotto.

12. Restaurant Il Terrazzino
This traditional Neapolitan restaurant is located near the famous Casino Square. Inside, dining room-style decor (Neapolitan photographs and frescoes, furniture and shelves filled with crockery and knick-knacks…) creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere. This is also true of the veranda, which lets you enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine whatever the season!
The à la carte menu features a wide selection of pasta dishes, meats and a few fish dishes. However, it was the appetizers that caught our eye the most, with smoked mozzarella, au gratin, stuffed with sausage, salad, tomato and bruschetta. You can also opt for a Neapolitan tasting menu.

Pizzas are also available, but only at lunchtime, just like in Italy!

Best restaurants on Larvotto Beach
14. Restaurant La Note Bleue
For your vacation on the Côte d’Azur, would you like to dine by the sea? We know what you mean! That’s why we recommend the La Note Bleue restaurant, whose large terrace is located directly on the beach. We felt like we were eating with our feet in the sand!
The menu is as varied as most beach restaurants (burgers, salads, risottos…). We did notice a healthy influence, with a significant number of vegetarian dishes, but also exotic ingredients (coconut milk, coriander…). For our part, we opted for a plate of quality charcuterie and cheeses. If you like non-alcoholic drinks like we do, you’ll be able to enjoy iced teas, non-alcoholic cocktails and all sorts of thirst-quenching fruit juices!

This Italian restaurant is located just opposite the Plage du Larvotto. The setting is sophisticated, elegant, sober and contemporary. We appreciate the hearty but well-presented plates. It’s a great place to have lunch before enjoying the beach!

Best restaurants for a healthy and cheap lunch in Monaco
16. Supernature wine bar
And yes! It’s possible to find healthy and affordable addresses in Monaco. Supernature, a wine bar located in the Condamine shopping district, is a good address for a simple meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The friendly waiter guided us in our choice of natural wine from among his many references.
The à la carte menu includes light dishes such as salads and focaccia. We enjoyed a focaccia with truffled ham, scarmoza and pesto, delicious with a very good red wine. We were very greedy for dessert, as we chose a brownie accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream. But maybe you can resist and eat a completely healthy meal?
Practical information:
- Neighborhood: Condamine.
- Type: light catering.
- Capacity: less than 20 place settings.
- Price range: between €15 and €30 per person (excluding drinks).

17. Restaurant Woo Monaco
Woo Monaco is an organic restaurant. Its healthy cuisine is available to take away or eat in. We enjoyed the choice of drinks, with juices, lemonades and organic wine, but above all the original coffees, worthy of a coffee shop! Why not try a Maca-cacao latte (raw maca cacao, cinnamon, coconut blossom sugar)? To accompany these delicious beverages, you can opt for bagels, buddha bowls, salads, sandwiches or the homemade quiche of the day. If you’re still hungry, you’ll find plenty of gluten-free desserts.
Practical information:

Best restaurants with children in Monaco
19. Restaurant Azzura Kitchen
There are few truly child-friendly restaurants in the Principality. Children’s menus are very rare! The beach restaurant La Note Bleue and the Azzura kitchen are the only two we found that offer it. L’Azzura is the restaurant of the 3-star Hotel Novotel Monte-Carlo. It offers quality international cuisine with a few local ingredients. In our opinion, their children’s menu is interesting and varied. Your children (up to age 12) can choose between a fillet of sea bream, a raclette burger, a seed-breaded chicken or a minced steak. Side dishes may include French fries, mashed celery or pasta with tomato sauce. Dessert and drinks are also included. The restaurant is ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the Casino via the Jardin de la Petite Afrique!
If you’re a family, this may be the hotel for you. See photos, prices and availability.

20. La Maison des Pâtes delicatessen
La Maison des Pâtes is not strictly speaking a restaurant, but rather a delicatessen specializing in the artisanal production of fresh pasta. Founded in 1977, it has been the official supplier to the princely family since 1999, and more generally to the Principality’s most prestigious restaurants.
We recommend his Marché de la Condamine outlet, where you’ll find plenty of tables to sit at. We’re sure your kids will love the wide variety of pasta dishes available (gnocchi, ravioli, lasagne…). What’s more, menus are adapted for families, as half portions are available. So don’t wait any longer to enjoy a friendly family lunch in the warm atmosphere of the covered market!
