The best hotels in Cassis: our 2 favorites
Before discovering our detailed reviews of each of the establishments we have selected, take a look at our 2 favorite addresses.
Best luxury hotel: Hôtel Les Roches Blanches (5 stars)
We were delighted with our stay at this 5-star establishment! As you can see, it has 2 outdoor infinity pools with magnificent views of the Mediterranean! They reflect the rest of the hotel, decorated in a chic, elegant and modern style.

Best 4-star hotel: Hôtel HPC Suites
This contemporary hotel, in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature, was particularly appealing to us. This little haven of peace has all the hallmarks of a luxury hotel, with its large outdoor pool and sleek, elegant decor. We think some of its facilities (studios, table tennis, board games) make it ideal for family vacations.
See photos, prices and availability.
Best affordable hotel: Hôtel Eden (3 stars)
This 3-star hotel offers excellent value for money. We really enjoyed spending a night at this hotel. Our room was comfortable and had a large balcony. We could also relax around the outdoor pool, surrounded by a Jacuzzi and sauna.

Where to sleep in Cassis: the best districts
Why sleep in Cassis?
Cassis is an ideal place for a short break. It’s the starting point for many hiking trails to discover the famous Parc National des Calanques. To visit them, you could also stay in Marseille, but Cassis offers more peace and quiet and, above all, a magnificent setting. The village is easily accessible from Marseille.

The best places to stay in Cassis: map
Our map will help you find your way around, showing the 3 main areas to stay in Cassis: the town center, Plage du Bestouan and the village heights.
Staying downtown
The center of Cassis unfolds around its charming fishing port. This is where almost all the village’s shops and restaurants are concentrated. It’s also the area with the most hotels!
Benefits:
- Numerous shops and restaurants nearby.
- The best views of the port, the colorful facades of Provencal houses and the turquoise Mediterranean!
Disadvantages:
- Potential noise pollution and high tourist numbers: this attractive area attracts a large number of tourists, particularly in summer.
- Limited parking: due to the area’s frequentation and characteristics (e.g. narrow streets), parking is difficult. We recommend parking in public parking lots, such as the Cassis Les Mimosas Effia parking lot (a 10-minute walk from the port).
Our favorite hotels:
In addition to Hôtel Eden, which we’ve already mentioned, we recommend Hôtel Particulier HPC. This 4-star establishment, a 10-minute walk from the port, boasts a large outdoor pool with sea view – see photos and availability.
We also recommend the Hôtel Royal Cottage, 300m from the Casino. It will seduce you with its tropical garden, swimming pool and peaceful setting – see photos and availability.
Finally, if you want to be right in the village center, you can opt for the 3-star Best Western Coeur de Cassis hotel & spa – see photos and availability.
Staying near the beach
Cassis has several beaches. If you want to stay close to the beach, you’ll need to choose a hotel close to the Bestouan pebble beach.
Benefits:
- Close to the beach.
- Beach bars in season.
- Magnificent scenery.
Disadvantages:
- High visitor numbers, especially in summer, even though the beach is not very large.
- Potential noise from visitor traffic.
- Parking difficulties (remember to reserve a space in your hotel parking lot!)
- A little out of the way, it’s a 15-minute walk to the center with its shops.
Our favorite hotels:
Once again, we recommend our favorite luxury hotel, Les Roches Blanches! It’s a 5-minute walk from the beach – see photos and availability.
We recommend the Hôtel de la Plage Mahogany, whose beach-inspired decor we really appreciated – see photos and availability.
Finally, you can opt for Hôtel Le Jardin d’Émile, housed in a beautiful red Provencal building – see photos and availability.
Sleeping in the hills above Cassis
This is a quiet, residential area. It’s also the closest to the station. It’s served by the M01 bus line, but the center is also within walking distance (about 20min).
Benefits:
- Nearest train station (25min walk), 5min with M01 bus (St-Jean stop).
- Peace and quiet.
Disadvantages:
- Off-center area.
- Less pretty views and landscapes.
Our favorite hotels:
In this area, we recommend the 3-star Les Jardins de Cassis hotel. It features an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi and sauna, elegant decor and parking – see photos and availability.
Other tips to keep in mind
Cassis, located close to Marseille, is particularly popular during the summer months. The village is a starting point for visiting the famous Parc National des Calanques. Prices are therefore high. We therefore advise you to book as early as possible so that you can choose your hotel and benefit from the best rates.
During the off-season, some hotels in Cassis and the surrounding area close. We prefer the Booking platform, as calendars are updated in real time. You’ll quickly find out if the establishment is open on the dates you requested.
It’s difficult to park and get around in the center of Cassis, especially in summer. We advise you to make your way on foot, as all points of interest are within easy reach.
On the other hand, if you want to take full advantage of the region’s landscapes and hinterland, you’ll absolutely need a car. Most hotels have private parking lots, so remember to reserve your space!
