Is an AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment worth it? Our review
We were charmed by the AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment in Nice. The appart’hôtel’s location is ideal for discovering Nice’s old town and its treasures, with the Promenade du Paillon, Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate, Place Garibaldi, Palais Lascaris and Théâtre National de Nice in the immediate vicinity. But also the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) and the Saint-François Tower.
The comfort of the apartment was notable, with quality bedding and practical home-like amenities. But what really made the difference was the private balcony overlooking the building’s inner courtyard, which we were able to enjoy as soon as we arrived! We highly recommend this apartment hotel, which offers studios as well as 2-room apartments for a stay in Nice. One of our favorite accommodations in Nice!

Decoration and atmosphere
The general atmosphere of the residence is warm and friendly. The apartments are located in an old building with an ochre facade that brings a lot of charm to the place. A staircase leads to the reception area, which is accessed through a secure door. Plants adorn the stairs and wicker chairs are set up near the reception in the common areas, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was welcoming and answered all our requests with a smile.
Pastel hues decorate the AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment hotel, bringing a soft, soothing ambience to walls, ceilings and doors. The curtains and wicker chairs reinforce this warm and natural atmosphere, in the common areas and in the apartment. All this makes the AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment hotel a truly relaxing place to stay.
We particularly appreciated the warm welcome and the availability of the staff. They listened to us, answered all our questions and helped us in our research. Their helpful and professional attitude went a long way to making our time in Nice pleasant and comfortable.

Our apartment
The apartment we stayed in at the AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment hotel was a large studio, perfectly suited to our needs. Rather well thought out to save space, the kitchen is well equipped and hidden behind a large closet. This allowed us to prepare our own meals in the apartment. The small balcony overlooking the inner courtyard gave us a view of the traditional yellow and ochre buildings of the old town. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a bottle of Côtes de Provence rosé wine as a welcome gift. In the apartment we found a television, a tray of paid snacks, an ironing board and a safe. Everything was clean and well maintained.
The view from our apartment in the AMMI Vieux-Nice aparthotel was charming. We had a small balcony where two chairs were installed around a round table, sheltered by a parasol. Small succulents added a touch of greenery. The balcony overlooked a courtyard with an ochre facade, typical of the buildings in Nice’s old town. It was nice to enjoy a glass of local rosé wine on the balcony.
The room in our apartment
In the bedroom area, the double bed was comfortable with linens that were nice to the touch. A beautiful bottle of Côtes de Provence rosé wine was placed on our bed as a welcome gift!
A large closet was opposite the bed in the room, with an ironing board, very convenient for long stays. Note that since the apartment was a large studio, the bedroom was open to the living/dining area, which gave a feeling of space and coziness.

The practical, efficient and equipped kitchen
The AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment features a well-equipped kitchette-style kitchenette, with everything you need to make yourself at home. We found sufficient cutlery and crockery, as well as a coffee machine with capsules and another with filter, a microwave, a sink and a small refrigerator, electric plates and a kettle.
Everything was in perfect condition and we appreciated the ability to cook our own meals when we felt like it. Then to close the doors of this large closet when we no longer needed access to the kitchen area!
The bathroom
The bathroom had a shower, toilet, sink, bathrobe and towels. The shower was quite spacious and easy to use, and the towels were soft and comfortable. The robe was also a nice addition and added a touch of luxury to the bathroom. Everything was clean and in good condition.

The breakfast
The AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment hotel in Nice offers two breakfast options negotiated with local bakers and restaurateurs, at an additional cost payable at reception:
- a simple formula with a hot drink and pastries from the bakery at the foot of the building,
- or a more complete formula at the Gaglio restaurant, located just a few steps from the apartment hotel.
We opted for the second formula, which included a squeezed juice, a hot drink, a pastry, a slice of bread, butter, jam, an egg, bacon, salad and a sausage.
Breakfast was hearty and delicious, providing a good start to the day for exploring Nice and the surrounding area.
The equipment
The AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment hotel is well-equipped to guarantee guests a comfortable stay. In the common areas, there is a drinking water fountain to refresh yourself at any time of the day. Maps of the city are also available at the reception desk to make it easier to get around and discover the city. Self-service laundry facilities are also available.
In the rooms, a free wifi connection is available to stay connected. A television is also available with access to several channels and video content platforms. To make departure easier, the apartment hotel offers a luggage storage service to enable guests to make the most of their day in Nice.

Parking
The AMMI Vieux-Nice apartment hotel does not have a private parking lot reserved for its guests. However, there are several parking options nearby. The closest public parking lots to the facility are:
- the Promenade des Arts parking lot, located less than 5 minutes away on foot,
- and the Marshall parking lot, located less than 10 minutes away on foot.
However, it should be noted that parking in the alleys of this area is often not easy due to its proximity to the old city and the frequent passage of the tramway.

For people with reduced mobility
