Located near Cannes, the Plage de la Raguette in Mandelieu-la-Napoule totally charmed us! It adjoins Plage du Château on the 3-kilometer coastal path. It also offers a magnificent view of the historic monument at the water’s edge.

Is Plage de la Raguette worth it?
Yes, it’s a charming little beach well worth a visit. In fact, it features in our article on the most beautiful beaches in and around Cannes.
Warmed by the Mediterranean sun, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the Château de la Napoule, one of the best on the coast. This beach is ideal for a pleasant day out with family or friends in a unique setting. As well as the superb scenery, we recommend walking under the cobbled arches of the historic building. It’s also on the coastal path. We were seduced by this picturesque stroll along the water’s edge!
Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is made up of fine golden sand, but there are a few small pebbles and dry seaweed.
Swimming conditions and supervision
Swimming conditions are very good. The descent into the water is gradual. We recommend you take a mask and snorkel along the rocks.
Signs indicate that the beach is supervised in season.
Installations
We saw showers and toilets by the beach.
Plage de la Raguette in Mandelieu-la-Napoule: how to get there
Where is Plage de la Raguette?
- In the commune of Mandelieu-la-Napoule,
- At the western end of Cannes,
- 5-minute walk from Plage du Château,
- From Cannes to Plage de la Raguette: approx. 20min drive.
Access by car and parking
To get to Plage de la Raguette from Cannes, simply take Boulevard Louise Moreau, which runs along the seafront to the west of the town. The route is very straightforward: just continue straight ahead for about 15 minutes on the D6098. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll notice herringbone parking spaces in the middle of the road opposite Port La Napoule.

- Choose a car that is powerful enough (the roads are steep) but compact (some passages are narrow).

Access from the parking lot
From the parking lot, follow the harbour to the west, then continue straight ahead. Once you’ve passed Restaurant Le Boucanier, you’ll see the sands of Plage du Château.
Afterwards, we recommend you take the coastal path to reach Plage de la Raguette, along the seafront, in just a few minutes’ walk.
Otherwise, you’ll also find a few (free but very limited) parking spaces on Rue de la Plage at the level of a dead-end street. The space closest to the beach entrance is reserved for the disabled.
Public transport access
If you’re coming from Cannes, take the Palmbus line 22 and get off at the “Port de la Napoule” stop, then continue on foot. The journey takes an average of 20 minutes. Find out more here.

Dog
Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
Reduced mobility access
There are no facilities adapted for access by people with reduced mobility.
From Plage du Château de la Napoule, you can take the coastal path to Plage de la Raguette, but be aware that it is very irregular. It consists of cobblestones, rocks and sand. The walk is therefore difficult for people with mobility problems.
With children
The slope to enter the water is gentle and gradual. It’s ideal for swimming with your kids! What’s more, the beach is small, making it easier to keep an eye on your toddlers.
Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on this beach.
Eating out
In high season, there’s a small snack bar on the beach.
Otherwise, we found a good choice of restaurants nearby. We particularly recommend Restaurant Le Boucanier, next to the Plage du Château de la Napoule, facing the marina. So, tempted by a meal with your feet in the water?
