Is Plage du Corton worth it?
Certainly! This beach is worth a visit for its magnificent views, tranquility and crystal-clear water. It offers beautiful views of the cliffs, especially at sunset when they change color.
This is one of our favorite beaches in Cassis, one of the most beautiful on the Côte d’Azur!

Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is a mixture of fine sand and small pebbles.
We enjoyed settling in to soak up the sun.
Swimming conditions and supervision
The slope to enter the water is gentle.
The beach is unsupervised.
Installations
We didn’t see any showers or toilets on the beach.
Plage du Corton in Cassis: how to get there
Where to find Plage du Corton
- The beach is located in the commune of Cassis.
- From the Port of Cassis, take a 15-minute walk and a 5-minute drive.
- The beach is located to the east of Cassis.
This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Cassis!
Access by car and parking
To get to Plage du Corton from downtown Cassis, head for Cap Canaille via Rue de l’Arène, then take Avenue du Revestel.
The nearest parking lot is Parking Madie. It’s a pay parking lot with 160 spaces. In summer, Cassis parking lots are very popular. Come early to be sure of a place.

Access from Cassis
To get to the beach from downtown Cassis, we recommend you take the Sentier des Lombards. From Plage de la Grande Mer (Cassis’ main beach), near the port, it’s a 15-minute walk to Plage du Corton.
Once you’ve arrived, take the stairs down to the beach. She’s down below. So you’ll have to climb back up the slope to get back to town.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
Reduced mobility access
There are no facilities for disabled access. There are also stairs down to the beach.
With children
The slope is gentle and ideal for a visit with children.
Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on this beach.
Eating out
There’s a snack bar on the beach for a quick bite to eat or a refreshing dip between swims. Alternatively, the beach is just a few metres from the 3-star Restaurant La Villa Madie!
