Is Plage des Capucins worth it?

Yes, Plage des Capucins is worth the detour! It’s a great place to spend time with family and friends. It offers beautiful views of the Bec de l’Aigle, Île Verte and the Bay of La Ciotat. There’s also a beach volleyball court and a children’s playground for all ages to enjoy!

In fact, it’s one of the city’s main attractions and one of its best beaches.

Access by car and parking

There are a few parking spaces along the beach, but in high season, finding an empty one can be a miracle. Further down the article, we’ll point you in the direction of a nearby parking lot.

What’s more, we advise you to park as soon as possible, as traffic in town can be complicated in high season.

Naturism is not permitted in this cove. La Ciotat’s only naturist beach is Plage du Liouquet.

Eating out

There are a number of restaurants close to the beach, including Le Farniente and L’Indiana, both less than a 10-minute walk away.

Otherwise, we recommend returning to the city center. La Ciotat is home to some very fine restaurants. We’ve rounded up our favorites in our article dedicated to the city’s best restaurants.
