Located at the end of the Promenade de la Croisette behind Port Pierre Canto, Bijou Plage is divided into several public and private areas. Part of the beach is reserved for people with reduced mobility. The magnificent Mediterranean landscape totally seduced us!
Here are our practical tips and photos for discovering the beach and its facilities.
This guide is completely independent, based on our experiences. We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.
Is Bijou Plage worth it?
Yes, this beach is well worth a visit, especially if you’re looking for facilities and services for people with reduced mobility. Bijou Plage includes a private beach, a public beach and a disabled beach. What’s more, it offers magnificent views over the bay and the Mediterranean coast.
In fact, we think it’s one of the best beaches in Cannes!
Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is made up of golden sand, but also of small chunks. Here, we observed a jetty that juts out into the sea, offering views over the Bay of Cannes.
Installations
We noted the presence of showers and toilets along the beach.
Monitoring
Bijou Plage is supervised during the high season to ensure the safety of bathers.
Conditions for swimming
Entering the water is very pleasant, as the slope is gentle and gradual. It makes you want to swim! Water quality is regulated.
