Is the Best Western Vieux Port Hotel worth it? Our review

Yes, this hotel deserves a stay. It’s ideally located for exploring the city, halfway between the beaches and calanques, and close to many bars and restaurants. We think the Best Western Premier Vieux Port Hotel is one of the best hotels to stay at in La Ciotat.
The only part that disappointed us a little was the breakfast.

Decoration and atmosphere

During our stay at the Best Western Hotel in La Ciotat, we were very pleasantly surprised by the team’s warm and attentive welcome. They were very enthusiastic and happy to answer all our questions and provide us with useful information. The interior decoration was elegant and very modern, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

The room

Our room was spacious and bright, and very practical. We particularly liked the peacock-blue wooden elements and warm fabrics, as well as the desk, which is very pleasant to work at.
We found amenities such as a kettle, bottled water and hairdryer in the room.

Our room on the third floor had a balcony with chair and table, offering a spectacular and inspiring view of the harbor, church and boats. We were also able to admire the hills all around the city, which was particularly pleasant at sunrise.

The bathroom

Our bathroom was nice and spacious.
It featured a bathtub with integrated shower. Water pressure was excellent. And we found hygiene and cosmetics products from the Damana brand.
What we liked most was that the bathroom was semi-open, so we could stand in the bath and enjoy the natural light and the view.

The breakfast

We enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast with both sweet (pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereals) and savoury (cheese, cold meats, sausages, scrambled eggs) products.

The atmosphere was very classic, with a covered room and a small terrace overlooking the port.

Equipment and common areas

But what delighted us most were the facilities on the roof terrace.

The Best Western hotel offers a heated outdoor infinity pool with a superb view, surrounded by sun loungers. We made the most of our time in the water, admiring the town, the church, the sea and the hills behind. One of the best pools we’ve tested on the Côte d’Azur.

On the other side, with views over the city, we also found a Jacuzzi and solarium. What better way to relax!

But if you prefer to let off some steam, you can also take advantage of some machines in the gym, also on the roof terrace.

The restoration

We do not offer on-site catering. But the hotel is right in the heart of the city, surrounded by restaurants.
