Located close to the town center, the Plage de Fréjus offered us a sunny break during our visit to the seaside town! It stretches for 1 kilometer and offers a beautiful view of the port of Saint-Raphaël and its many cafés, boutiques and restaurants.

Is Fréjus beach worth the effort?
Yes, it’s a beach worth visiting.
The Plage de Fréjus is made up of several public and private sections (Plage des Sablettes, Plage de la République, Plage du Capitole). Close to the town center, it offers a beautiful view of the port of Saint-Raphaël, and numerous cafés, boutiques and restaurants are nearby. At the western end, you can walk up alongside the Fréjus marina to take a footbridge to the other side of the Argens river.
It’s one of the city’s main attractions (article coming soon).

Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is adorned with fine golden sand.
We loved relaxing here after a day of exploring the city.

Swimming conditions and supervision
The water is transparent and shallow. The slope is gentle and gradual, ideal for family bathing.
A portion of the beach is supervised, in high season only and during the opening hours of the lifeguard station. These are indicated on the signs.

Installations
We didn’t see any beachside showers. On the other hand, there are public toilets and a beach volleyball net.
