Situated along the famous Promenade de la Croisette, the Plages de la Croisette attract many of the stars of the Cannes Film Festival. Between private beaches, seaside restaurants and Mediterranean landscapes, you’re in for a unique, luxurious experience!

Are the Plages de la Croisette worth it?
Yes, it’s a cluster of beaches well worth a visit.
Most of the Croisette beaches are privately owned. They belong to restaurants or hotels. We appreciated the services offered by these establishments. Deckchairs and parasols are available for hire, so you can sit back and relax by the sea. These beaches are ideal for relaxing in the water, or sipping a cocktail on a bar terrace. The view of the Bay of Cannes from the Croisette is splendid!

Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The floor of the beach is made up of golden sand, but also small chunks in places. We loved dipping our toes in.
Swimming conditions and supervision
Entering the water is very pleasant, as the slope is gentle and gradual. Water quality is regulated.
Signs indicate that the beaches are supervised in season.
Installations
We found showers and toilets right on the beach. You can also enjoy the convenience of the many restaurants set right on the sand.
Croisette beaches in Cannes: how to get there
Where are the Plages de la Croisette?
- In the city center of Cannes,
- Along the Promenade de la Croisette,
- Access from historic Le Suquet: 15min walk.
Access by car and parking
Once you’ve arrived in Cannes, turn onto Boulevard de la Croisette and continue straight ahead for a few minutes. Parking is available just before Port Pierre Canto. Parking Roseraie (ex-Croisette) is very popular with tourists!

- Choose a car that is powerful enough (the roads are steep) but compact (some passages are narrow).
- Think of thecomplete insurance (some roads are tortuous and narrow).
- There is a lot of demand, book it early.
Access from the parking lot
From the parking lot, it’s just a few minutes’ walk west to the Croisette beaches. You’ll soon spot the first private beaches belonging to luxury hotels.
Public transport access
Along the Promenade de la Croisette, you’ll find numerous bus stops. Whether you come from the west or east of Cannes, the Palm Bus network is well developed.
Special features
Dog
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on these beaches.
Reduced mobility access
To get down to sandy level from the Promenade de la Croisette, you’ll find several staircases. However, some private beaches have access and facilities for people with reduced mobility. This is particularly true of the Hôtel Martinez beach.
Alternatively, we recommend Bijou Plage. It’s a very well-equipped handiplage, located behind Port Pierre Canto.
With children
The slope for entering the water is particularly suitable for children, as it is progressive.

Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on this beach.
Eating out
You can try one of the restaurants directly facing the bay. In fact, some of them feature in our article on the best restaurants in Cannes.
Located on the Hôtel Barrière’s private beach, the Restaurant Mademoiselle Gray totally won us over! Its unique surroundings and Lebanese-style cuisine will take you on a journey.
