Village of \u00c8ze<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Provence-Lovers\/Best-of\/n-PbwqvZ\/Villages\/i-PqXMWb3\/0\/bbbad03e\/L\/Eze_jardin_vue-L.jpg\" alt=\"Village of &#xC8;ze&#10;\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c8ze is the most popular village on the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur and even in Provence. And he absolutely deserves his popularity. It&#8217;s exceptional!<br\/>Between Nice and Monaco, it is perched on a steep hill some 427 meters above the Mediterranean Sea, offering spectacular views of the coast and sea.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a maze of narrow lanes and cobbled streets, typical of the Mediterranean region, with tunnels and arches. You can stroll through the picturesque alleyways, explore the local craft stores and discover \u00c8ze&#8217;s charming medieval architecture.<br\/>What&#8217;s more, it also has a remarkable hillside garden! We rented an electric bike to explore as much as possible in one day.<br\/>We discovered its dream beaches, with crystal-clear waters and golden sand.<br\/>But we were also fascinated by its historic forts, which bear witness to its military past. Between its nature, which is everywhere in the city, its seaside, its captivating museums, its architectural gems, and its thriving culinary scene, we didn\u2019t have a moment to get bored in this idyllic spot on the French Riviera.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s the region&#8217;s largest city. But what charmed us most was the architecture and elegance of the city&#8217;s streets. The town harmoniously combines the Mediterranean art of living with a peaceful, sunny atmosphere. Saint Tropez and its beaches (Pampelonne&#8230;)<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Provence-Lovers\/Best-of\/n-PbwqvZ\/Plages\/i-k4266BX\/0\/6b78db82\/L\/saint-tropez-plage-pampelonne-L.jpg\" alt=\"Pampelonne Beach\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pampelonne Beach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nestled on the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur, Saint-Tropez is a legendary town that combines glamour and authenticity. We were pleasantly surprised, as the town has managed to preserve a real Mediterranean charm (despite the huge yachts in the harbor that block the view of the colorful facades).<br\/>The old town remains on a human scale, where it&#8217;s a pleasure to stroll along the narrow streets. The Old Port, with its terrace caf\u00e9s and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, is an iconic location.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But what struck us most was the surrounding peninsula, which has remained largely undeveloped. It&#8217;s the ideal place to recharge your batteries, with vineyards, impressive views and sandy beaches with azure waters. It may be less famous and luxurious than its neighbors Nice and Cannes, but it offers the charm of history, beautiful stonework and breathtaking views.<br\/>It&#8217;s a pleasure to stroll through this human-sized commune, which offers magnificent Mediterranean landscapes, with ramparts, a rich heritage, sandy beaches and views of the sea and mountains.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last but not least, it&#8217;s an ideal place to relax: numerous beaches, water sports and leisure parks. It combines medieval charm, a rich artistic history and magnificent views over the region.<br\/>It&#8217;s very well preserved and lively, with many art galleries and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We particularly enjoyed strolling along the ramparts to admire the views over and around the village.<br\/>The village is renowned for its art scene (particularly in the 20th century). The Route des Cr\u00eates between La Ciotat and Cassis offers spectacular scenery. This is one of the most beautiful roads in Provence.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the start of the route, you can stop several times to admire the bay of La Ciotat. Then views turn to the Bay of Cassis, with its impressive cliffs.<br\/>It&#8217;s an effective 30min drive, but longer to take in all the sights.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">16. Even if you&#8217;re not a fan of luxury, Monaco is well worth a visit, as it&#8217;s a city like no other!
