We were surprised by the diversity of these towns, which range from medieval fortified villages to more contemporary artists’ towns. Each one retains its own unique character, even though they all share these narrow alleys and shaded squares where it\u2019s nice to stop and rest. We recommend taking a walk there early in the morning or late in the day, after the tour buses have left.Many of them are among the most beautiful villages in Provence<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
