We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it difficult to park in Saint-Tropez?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parking in Saint-Tropez is one of the most daunting challenges on the Var coast. Let&#8217;s face it: parking conditions your entire visit, even before you leave the freeway. The village has just one main access road, the RD 98A, which is saturated from 10 a.m. at the height of summer. We&#8217;ve noticed that visitors who arrive without a strategy waste precious time driving around, sometimes for more than an hour, before finding a solution. Visitor numbers peak in July and August, but parking lots are under pressure from May until October. Planning your parking in advance, choosing the right spot as soon as you enter town, is the key to a successful day.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Provence-Lovers\/Saint-Tropez\/n-qRB2K2\/Port\/i-Gdp4Bxn\/0\/NT6NqJ4q5GHPMG9c6M8WxQnbHp5CtDXrFNwqdHnBn\/L\/port%20saint%20tropez-L.jpg\" alt=\"Saint-Tropez - Is it difficult to park in Saint-Tropez?\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parking in Saint-Tropez: summary<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Careful street parking<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On-street parking is available in Saint-Tropez, but is subject to strict seasonal regulations. From April 1 to November 11, 7 days a week &#8211; including Sundays and public holidays &#8211; all blue zone spaces are subject to a charge. The maximum time allowed is 3 hours 24 minutes, which rules out any prolonged stay in the village. In the event of overrun or non-payment, the Forfait Post-Stationnement (FPS) is \u20ac30.50. We recommend using the EasyPark app, which lets you set, adjust and extend the session from your phone without having to return to the car. We would also point out that this time limit makes the roadway unsuitable for a full-day visit. From November 12 to March 31, there&#8217;s no charge for parking in the blue zone: the ideal window of opportunity for travelers visiting Saint-Tropez out of season. Please note, however, that parking is not unlimited, but restricted to 2 hours free parking every 3 hours 24 minutes. We take this opportunity to remind you that the low season radically transforms the village experience. For the rest of the year, the Plage de la Bouillabaisse parking lot (in the commune of Gassin, near Saint-Tropez) is the only free option close to the center, with a 15-20 minute walk. In addition, the public parking lots on the <a href=\"https:\/\/provencelovers.fr\/en\/plage-pampelonne-beach-saint-tropez\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"13031\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beaches of Pampelonne<\/a>, in the neighboring commune of <a href=\"https:\/\/provencelovers.fr\/en\/things-to-do-village-ramatuelle-visit\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"10567\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ramatuelle<\/a>, are free of charge before 11am and after 5pm all year round. To get there, the public beach parking lots are directly accessible by car. We&#8217;d like to point out a significant advantage: these parking lots are free of charge before 11am and after 5pm all year round. Early in the morning, you can take advantage of both free parking and a beach that&#8217;s still relatively uncrowded. We advise you to bring a picnic lunch so you can stay until late afternoon and leave in the free evening slot.
