We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it difficult to park in Cannes?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, and the difficulty varies according to the time of year. Parking in Cannes is an issue to be taken seriously long before you arrive: on-street spaces are scarce, restricted zones are numerous and demand explodes during major events. In peak summer season, during the Cannes Film Festival in May, or during congresses at the Palais des Festivals, finding a free space is a challenge. We were able to measure the pressure on parking during our visits to the city at various times. In addition, rotation in the red zone is strictly limited to 2 hours, with particularly assiduous control officers. So it&#8217;s best to head straight for one of the covered parking lots in the municipal network, which offer both security and peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Provence-Lovers\/Cannes\/n-cSNNdV\/Panorama-sur-la-ville\/i-ZXLXCTm\/0\/MGG3gFKP3nbq6KrH79ZnNPCDzJKBrrkrnJb5WKKQC\/L\/vue%20place%20castre%20cannes-L.jpg\" alt=\"Cannes - View of Cannes\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parking in Cannes: summary<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Careful street parking<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On-street parking is charged from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm, and limited to a maximum of 2 hours in the red zone, i.e. in the hyper-center. Enforcement is rigorous, and any infringement is subject to a \u20ac35 post-parking charge (FPS). For a visit lasting a few hours or a whole day, the street option quickly proves to be restrictive and unprofitable. On the other hand, the <em>Cannes Parking<\/em> municipal network offers significant price advantages: 3 hours free on Saturdays, 3 hours free on Sundays, 2 hours free once a week on weekdays and 30 minutes free every day. Low-cost options are also available on the outskirts, with some park-and-ride facilities to the west. Its pedestrian exits lead directly onto the Croisette, with no stairs or slopes, making it particularly pleasant from the moment you leave the parking lot. We particularly appreciate this direct access to the lively heart of Cannes, just a few dozen meters from stores, terraces and the seafront. To get as close as possible, there are two main options:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Palais des Festivals parking lot<\/strong> &#8211; located directly beneath the building, with immediate access via the internal staircases or elevator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parking Pantiero<\/strong> &#8211; a 2-minute walk along the Vieux Port, a useful alternative when the Palais des Festivals is full.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Provence-Lovers\/Cannes\/Plages\/n-SQcrd2\/Plage-de-la-Bocca\/i-3Nzp3bK\/0\/NbGJx8qQcKCKsbpmj35JNqHhTqBSCzdBnMV3WvRGL\/L\/plage%20de%20la%20bocca%20cannes-L.jpg\" alt=\"parking\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to park to visit the \u00celes de L\u00e9rins and the Plages du Midi?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reach the L\u00e9rins Islands (Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat) or the Plages du Midi, <strong>Parking Laubeuf<\/strong> is the obvious choice. Located at the western end of the Old Port, along the Quai Max Laubeuf, it offers immediate access to the counters of the shipping companies with frequent departures throughout the day. Timetables vary according to airline, weather and destination.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We found it particularly convenient for organizing a day trip to the islands, without having to walk through the city center.
