Absolutely! This immersive experience transforms former quarries into a cathedral of images, where works of art come to life on a 7,000m\u00b2 projection surface. We were fascinated by the way the visuals unfolded from floor to ceiling in this place steeped in history. <\/p>\n\n

It’s one of the must-sees in the village of Les Baux-de-Provence.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Why are the Carri\u00e8res des Lumi\u00e8res so famous?<\/h3>\n\n

The Carri\u00e8res des Lumi\u00e8res owe their renown to their innovative concept, created by Culturespaces, which also launched theAtelier des Lumi\u00e8res<\/a> in Paris. Since 2012, this digital art center has been projecting the most famous works of art onto the monumental limestone walls of the former quarries.<\/p>\n\n

Every year, immersive exhibitions dedicated to artists such as Van Gogh, Mondrian and Chagall attract over 600,000 visitors from all over the world. During our visit, we were able to admire the most beautiful remains of the Egypt of the Pharaohs and major Orientalist works.<\/p>\n\n
